SD43 Diver Extension
I dive with it maybe three times a year, but I'm seriously considering taking off the divers extension. Even with the micro adjustments it seems like its in the way more often then it gets used. Think I'm going to 86 it...
Anyone else taken it off?

Yes I removed the divers extension and it wears a lot more comfortable now.
I have small wrist and with that extra extension it was feeling like a big metal chunk. |

The threads where this has come up confirm that most owners on here have removed it.
I DIY’ed mine. I can’t say I find it any more comfortable like some. However the watch already possesses a massive clasp, so removing the extension - which when in situ just appears to extend the aforementioned humongous clasp - makes it more aesthetically pleasing.

I was "this" close to doing that myself when I first got it but I removed two links instead. Going to rectify that tonight it looks like, thanks!!

I removed mine from my DSSD. Depending on where the extension lands on your wrist, it can make the bracelet much more comfortable. And yes, I have dove mine. The glidelock provides plenty of extension.

I initially took it off and ended up putting it back on an removing one of the links. Either way it’s comfortable. But I look to fidget with the DE and bezel when I’m bored lol

I removed mine immediately upon getting the watch. Wouldn’t ever be used and was just more weight for no reason.

Hey Marc, I removed the extension on my Dblue and SD43. Both wear much more comfortably with out it. The extension link forms a ridged bridge almost like two links together, that don’t flex ... that’s why removing it makes the bracelet feel better IMO.

I had the extension removed when I got it. I have a 7.5 inch left wrist and thought I would be able to size it with only the adjustable clasp without needing to remove links or extension. The extension is part of the SD experience after all. Chose to keep all the links instead.

Removing it is mandatory imo. Was hating wearing my sd43 until rsc took it off for me. They didn’t want to do it but finally did after I insisted. When you remove it, do not lose it, keep it safe

When I had my SD43 I removed the DE from the bracelet. Tried it both ways but ultimately felt it was more comfortable without it as the bracelet was better able to form to my wrist. Didn’t like sacrificing a part of the watches character by removing it but ultimately decided it was better without it.
