Should I take my Rolex on a cruise?

Of course I should and of course I will.
In fact, taking three watches with me and at least two will be Rolex.

The hardest part will be how to break it gently to the other watches that they won’t be going on this trip and will have to remain in the safe until the next vacation watch lottery.

No, just use at home. preferably in the bedroom. I like the bedroom ...

Seriously, depending on the destination of the cruise, use worry-free, just the normal precautions to take with any mobile belongings.

You have a lot more faith in those cabin safes than I do!

I take ONE watch on a cruise, and since we will be crossing timezones it will undoutedly be my Tudor GMT

Details about the cruise please. I love a boat trip.
I recommend the DD for evening the blro for day and the super ocean because of the name.

Flying to NJ day before to dine at a great local Basque restaurant I use to frequent.
Next day 7 night cruise to Bermuda, three days there, and back.

Awesome choices and quite close to my final decision.
BLRO - GMT function as there will be a time change.
DD for dressed up evening wear.
The third is the tough one.
Have narrowed it down to Sub, SuperOceanHII or Cartier (Cartier has option to put Blue Alligator band as well)
Wife wants me to take Cartier. I am leaning towards disappointing her and going with Sub. With it I’ll have a PM, a TT and an SS. Lots of variety.

If only all decisions in life could be this easy.

I read a lot about how ship and or hotel safes are not to be trusted. Are they that easy to break in to?!

I have been on 20+ cruises (and just booked the next) and always take 3 or 4 with me. Never had a problem. Just excercise common sense while out and about and you will be fine.

Yes, but I still use them.

Just think how many people forget the combinations. They have to be able to open them quickly and with out damage. Otherwise you would see a giant 400 million page disclaimer on the front of it saying DO NOT FORGET THE COMBINATION!!

Enjoy the cruise.

I expect lots of pics of the food and your Rolexeses on the high seas.

I have been on over 30 cruises, and have been in hotels in just about every state in our country and also abroad and have never had an issue with a hotel safe.

There are times on cruises that wife has even forgotten to put her jewelry in the safe and all has been in order upon return.

On a ship, with no where to go, and locks that can identify who was there last, good luck to the person who attempts it.
Everything we take, including jewelry, is insured. Life is too short to not enjoy what you have.

Nice I love cruises. I am guessing its NCL its either the Escape or the Dawn. I usually bring one Rolex and a cheepie for the water. I am worried to bring numerous ones as I wear the Rolex on.

Should I take my Rolex on a cruise?

Brought 3 (Rolex, Tudor, Seiko) with me on the Alaska cruise. All 3 came home fine. If the ship went down and I with it, I figured my skeletal remains would look cooler with a watch on.

Bermuda is one of the safest cruise destinations for wearing a Rolex. You shouldn't have any issue there or on the ship. But again, employees can easily get in that safe if they know you have something valuable in there. I'd bring that GMT and leave the others back home. Enjoy the trip either way. We went last year out of Jersey and had a great time

I do. Taking more then 1 is ridiculous as I would not want to leave them in the safe/room.

I have never seen such a variety or rolexes than the last cruise. A hulk, blue sub, DD, DJ and someone wearing the same as me. That was the symphony of the sea in the Mediterranean. Next will be a Baltic.

Just got back from a cruise in the Med on Celebrity Silhouette. Lots of Rolex about, except in the shops on the ship
