Incoming - Stone dial #2 (gulp)

My bank account shrieks for mercy!

Naturally, less than a week after buying the WG/lapis DD (shown in a recent thread), what pops up in my Google alerts but one of my True Grails - a YG DD with tiger eye stone dial. Doubtless indulgent, but ... these really don’t come around every day.

It’s unfortunate that I can’t post video here, because a still photo can’t half convey what these look like IRL - The color flip (chatoyance) on them when they move, especially in sunlight, is something to see.

Feeling poor but happy,

That is one of the better tiger eye dials I’ve seen. So many are darker overall.

Now I’m rethinking my future 1803...
I’d like it on a croc strap myself - just lighter overall.

You see these come up more often on DJs in the market. Your Google crawler did a good job

Huge congratulations and thanks for sharing.

I've never seen that watch before and love to see different watches on here for a change.

Oh, if only that were true! A coral/Gulda dial DD will probably remain forever out of reach, but the fun is in the hunt ...

Lots of “never seen that” comments in both threads - So if you have not seen it, do NOT miss this truly jaw-dropping assembly of different stone dials Rolex has used.
