Datejust discount?

Hello,

Would most AD’s give 10% discount off a 36mm fluted bezel with diamond dial on Jubilee?

Discounts are harder and harder to get. My AD used to give some % off, now it's MSRP on everything including PM. Depends on the AD.

Honestly - I wouldn’t ‘expect’ a discount on any Rolex right now.

Never hurts to ask though.

I asked for a discount on my blue face dj41 smooth/oyster, and got a very firm no.

Discounts are hard to come by. Perhaps on a TT or PM.

Most ADs will not discount 10%. They don't need to to sell a 36mm Datejust.

OP not sure where you're located. All my local Chicago land ADs declined to offer any discount on ANY Rolex models including 36MM TT DJs, other than full PM models... But as we all say, it doesn't hurt to ask.

Most recently, best discount I was offered was 20% off on 36MM YG champagne with diamond baguette dial DD.

Give it a shot. Never hurts to ask. It's either yes or no.

Knowing the current state of the Rolex market, the only likely discount would be on PM models.

My AD said no to any discount and no tomwaivig taxes on my dj41. Doesn’t hurt to ask tho

I was recently offered 10% off on a TT rhodium dial 36mm (no diamonds) so it’s possible.

A 10% discount on that particular piece should be very achievable.

I imagine if your serious and ready to buy and ask it be well worth asking.
If they have several of that configuration and that’s been in stock while I imagine that one could get a small discount.

If it’s their only one/they have a firm no discount / or a boutique then prob impossible

I got 2% off my wife’s 31mm rose gold Datejust and it took calls to head office to achieve it, If 10% is on the table I would say it’s excellent

I would expect you get 10% off for the Datejust pretty easily. Looking at the gray price, they offer 10% off with no tax. So if your AD doesn't offer you discount, you can go with the gray dealer.

I've never bought a Rolex (or any other brand) for LESS than a 10% discount with the exception of one NOS tuxedo datejust. That's a pretty common DJ. Don't be afraid to walk out but give them your number if they say no. They'll call...
