2018 Sub, wrong lume?

Hi,

Just wondering if this is correct for my 2018 Sub ?

It looks like Super-luminova v Chromalight, from what I see Chromalight is ment to be more Blue. FYI it's a Bluesy. Wondering now if it has the wrong lume for a 2018.

In person it looks green

This is the "blue" chromalight in my opinion (it's a bit of turquoise blue). Green super-luminova is much greener.

I have 2018 Sub, lume just like yours. Definitely more blue than green. I thought i had the wrong lume too but research and seeing what green actually looks like reassured me that all is correct.

Agree. The above is blue with some red which is purple. Proper Chromalight is blue with some *green* which ends up deep cyan or turquoise.

I suspect the example above has been contaminated by the device capturing the image or during the image compression stage. Besides, I'm using a cell phone to display the image - clearly not accurate for proper chroma evaluation.

The color variances don't matter to me, the *duration* of the lume is the important factor.

It is correct. It doesn't look clear blue as you might think, it's more aqua/turquoise and depending on available light in the room and your perception, it can actually look clearly blue, yes it sounds weird.
If you compared it directly to a green lume Rolex Submariner or for example an older GMT2c LN you'd be like, "oh yeah, that is quite blue, I see it now".

While I agree(maybe some filtering), depending on available light and how long since charged, it may look very close to that. But that looks processed, too blue.

Have to agree it's mainly how the person sees the colour with his eyes or how his monitor or camera interpretation of the colour.

Cheers guys, I let some day light at it and it does appear more blue, so I have to agree with the majority here.

Its absolutely right. All mine have always been more of a green blue than a true blue.
