Hello everyone from Central New York State!

It is my hope and dream that my first Rolex purchase will be an Explorer II (Black Face).

If anyone has any advice for me or what to watch out for please do!

I prefer new but would settle for used but I'm afraid of replicas and/or knock-offs

I appreciate your time and assistance.

Hi Scream! Welcome to TRF! I would like to point out that there is a For Sale section within the forum where you can find some awesome deals by some reputable members of TRF that are known for their trustworthiness and professionalism. Also try and remember that once you have caught the Rolex bug you may never be able to get cured!

If you buy used [preloved] make sure you trust the seller. Checkout watchmakers in your area. If not, the AD may be the best route.

and good luck with the future purchase.

Yannis and Dan are 100% correct, browse through the for sale section and also buyers/sellers who's who have recommendations and experiences from members of this forum. don't be afraid to ask questions!

If you want to get the feel of the explorer, there nothing like popping into an AD and having a feel :-)
