Date code 1.76 on bracelet 93150
Hello everyone.
I just purchased a 1974 Submariner 1680 and it came with a 93150 bracelet with a “1.76” stamp on the clasp. I have never heard or seen this before. The date chart for bracelets starts at A or VA for 1976. Could the 1.76 be a code used before the alphabets were used? Does this make my clasp quite rare? Ken Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Not even necessarily that -- bracelet codes often are later than serial #... my 3.99mm Datejust places it at late 74,early 75 depending on the serial # resource one uses, not at all unusual for code to be later from when fitted (when sold). Others may disagree of course...

It is not 1.76. It means the first quarter of 1976

76 marked blades are rare to be seen but not impossible. I wouldn’t worry about it. It looks ok.
Rare in this case just means uncommon. Not valuable. I’d expect it to be worth the same as an A marked clasp.
