Do you wait or stick with your AD?

Do you usually wait for your main AD to get the piece you want to continue to build the relationship or do you just get the piece if another AD has it?

I go to whomever has it at the finest pricing... so far so good, but it does open you up to variance.

I deal with one AD only. Best treatment and they are willing to sell me whatever I want at MSRP if they have it or get it.

One AD. It helps that I really like them and would only want the business to go to them anyway.

I deal with two ADs. Both out of state for tax reasons. And I let each know what I am looking for and also keep them posted if I find it before they do. I also don't only look for the unobtanium, so it is something they can get and they know it. But my last two purchases I have gotten from greys just because I could find a 2019 watch at a reasonable price (both TT, a Bluesy and Daytona). I am on "the list" at both ADs for a harder to get GMT.

I just work with one AD. They take care of me very well and often heavily discount, or split/cover the tax. They are also 5 minutes away. No need to go anywhere else. I also don’t abruptly drop dead if I don’t get the watch I want right now so it works out.

I'm too lazy to drive to the next AD. I probably should try it sometime.

My answer is yes I wait. My AD has gotten me my BLNR and am confident more incomings will be happening. I wouldn’t jeopardize my relationship. I really like my AD.

I think loyalty is important even though some ADs may not appreciate it. I think my AD does.

So unless they give me a reason to go elsewhere I’m not. Even though the wait for my Hulk and white Daytona is killing me.

Now if you can source the same watch from two separate ADs you can game the system and flip one for a nice profit. I wouldn’t do it but hard to fault anybody who can and does.

Take it from anywhere it comes from brother! Are you going to decline a Daytona because it is from a second or third AD? I think not!

Back in 1999 there was not any problem with supply
... (yes I still say ..Geneva has a production problem)
I was with one AD for 3 years and bought more Rolex watches from him
than an AD today will get in a lifetime...why I left him ?
He retired and the new CEO wanted to sell at retail...his town
had more unemployment than Venezuela.
Left him for greener pastures ...tried establishing 2-3 good relationships
but their greed proved to be stronger than the relationship

I would rather buy another watch lol.
Many of my friends are tired of waiting and got bored with the look of Rolex eventually. I feel them.
