Did anyone start posting before they got their first Rolex?

I did, and I just cannot get over how much I love my Y series Sub Date.

i joined when i was going to sell my first one..that i got as a gift. It was a 1993 DateJust, Two Tone Jubille, Fluted Bezel, Black Dial, Roman Numerals. I was young and foolish(16) So i sold it for dirt cheap...Now Im still young and foolish(17) But im A LOT more educated on Rolex and regret selling it. Probably one of the dumbest things ive done in my life so far

But now i want one BAD, If all goes well I should have my second first Rolex by June

I Joined before I bought my first but had a hand-me-down 1675 already. This is a great place to expand you knowledge and when the time comes I am sure if you stick around you will find the person or place that will sell you your first. This is a huge investment you should learn all you can about it.

Absolutely I did. I did about two months of research first, mostly by posting here.

Al Gore hadn't invented the Internet before I bought my
first Rolex hahahaha

People post here who don't own a Rolex but they have one
thing in common with all of us which welcomes them here
that being the love of Rolex and passion for fine watches.

Some of the people here..try to join to have some ideas on what to buy and whats best to buy...they ask questions whats is a good model which one goes with what and a lot more...its a big purchase..and i would do the same...everyone is welcome here even if you dont own a Rolex...some people owns a different brands...but its much better to do your homes work before buying your Rolex or any kind of watch..

I found TRF while doing the research before I bought my SD. Posted here (SD vs. LV) and got some great responses before I pulled the trigger.

Yup, I joined to learn more about them and to help find the "best deal." I stayed because of the many friends I made. Had it not been for this forum:
1. I would have paid more for my 16613 and my wife's 179161
2. I would have never bought my 16570
3. I would have had a lot more free time for other things!
4. I would not have some of you as friends!

I joined a day or so before I placed a deposit on a Sub. Havent gotten it yet, I about own half of it right now... AD ordered me a more recent serial number than they had in stock (which I was kinda surprised about). So instead of plunking down all the cash at once, I'm just gonna pay it over a couple months. It is very tough to wait tho.
