Do these fonts look right?
Do these look right?
The serial #, text and reference number being (or appearing to be) “blacked in” threw me a bit - Though I’m guessing it’s probably the reflection/angle or even just some schmutz making them look dark. . Most important, though - Do the fonts, placement, etc. here look correct for a ‘96-‘99 Day-Date 18238? TIA for any assistance, of course. . . |

No they aren’t original.
Almost looks photoshopped. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I’m certainly no Photoshop expert, but if it is PS, it seems like nice work - The glint on the ‘N’ in DESIGN matches up well with the angle of the lug shadow.
I’ll get more pics of these markings tomorrow and add them then (along with pics of the dial and bracelet). Pics of the clasp and movement are HERE and didn’t seem to raise any alarms there. From the pics so far, it looks to me like the watch was seldom worn, but the bezel has certainly met the polishing wheel. |

Yep - I really meant so clear and crisp.
I think when you put all the photo’s together we’ll see what’s up. Could be a pristine find. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

The case looks like new and the bezel very well worn.

Here are more pics, thanks again for the assistance! I also received two videos of the serial and reference numbers - I’m now confident that the original pics above are not a Photoshop creation, at least.
The lug at 5 looks thin, and the cyclops seems perhaps high, but the price easily accommodates those possible flaws. Pics of the clasp and movement are HERE - lmk if anyone wants me to add them here also. . . |

The diamond 6-9 dial is unknown to me on white except for the stone dials thread. It appears on onyx and lapis stone dials more often. It looks a bit different than those - maybe it was custom?
On the extra pics of engraved characters between the lugs, it’s difficult to know since the “3” looks unique to me. The finish is so clean that it must not have been worn much if at all. Or was re-cut for reasons I couldn’t imagine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

The case looks like it might have been hard brushed for the re engraving of the numbers. They don’t look original to me at all.

I would give it a miss for various reasons.
