Vegas

SO I was in Vegas last week and stopped by the Rolex boutique in the Wynn. I didn't expect to see much and they exceeded my expectations. The SA by the door said hello but the other 3 or 4 never spoke to me. No one asked if I wanted to see or try on anything. I was dressed in polo with my Sub C date on my wrist but it didn't matter anyway. All they had in the cases were PM and TT OP and DJ's along with one YMII and a YG Skymaster. A returning customer who said he had bought a YG Daytona came in and inquired about a SS Daytona. He was told maybe a two year wait if he was lucky. Much different experience at WOS next door, very friendly.

Happens to every other tourist that walks by. Las Vegas is such a high traffic area.

I had almost the exact same experience, hence why I will stay with my local AD. But I always like seeing what PMs the other dealers have in the case.

Was there recently - very friendly. They let me try on the WG DD with the diamond meteorite dial. Also the RG DD. Said if i bought they had some other items for me to look at. There was a nice russian sales manager who helped. I think they have some SS in the back.

I went in at 11 am on a monday. VEgas is dead at that time.

Of course in Vegas, they have 1000s of people who go in every day.

Best Rolex AD treatment that I got in Vegas is at the Shops at Crystals. Wonderful setup and interiors, and very accommodating salesman who was there, even after inquiring about steel watches.

Haven’t pulled the trigger yet for any watch in Vegas but I do like visiting the various stores and boutiques.

Was in Vegas earlier this year and didn't see anything exciting. But popping in the AP and RM boutique at Crystal's was pretty fun.

I went to WOS and nobody said a word to me. sales rep from Rolex saw me in there and said hello so I left and went to Rolex. Didn't buy anything but thats where I bought my sub last year.

I'd imagine they get tons of window shoppers passing through with the same questions about the same hot pieces all day

Have to completely agree with this. This was the most helpful, friendly, accommodating AD I’ve ever been in to. Stopped in late one night with my 12 year old son and we both tried on several PM pieces. She knew I probably wasn’t buying anything that day but still spent a good 30 minutes with us just chatting watches. Very honest about the SS situation. I think I was wearing my white sub when I came in so that may have led to a better experience.

I also had the same as others described at Wynn with almost no speaking to me. We walked around the store a couple times and they pointed us to the museum. As we were walking out of the museum I said “hey that watch back there with the three dials on it looks cool, can you order one up?” They said spend $100k and they’ll get me one.

We went with my mother-in-law who I recently gifted a vintage Omega Seamaster to, and the salesman was chatting watches with us when he saw my MIL’s wrist. They’ve got the biggest stock but don’t act snotty about it.

Oh yeah, same here at the Wynn.. forgot to include my experience. The only thing they said “we have a museum you can look at in the back”

Seems like the smaller boutique you go, the worse customer service gets. The worst I would say is the one at Caesar’s palace. Dead empty, NOTHING on the display, zero service.

I find all the ADs here about the same... I expect more from the Rolex stand alone but it seems there are more friendlies at a place like Tournaeu. None of them have really great selections, obviously.

I have seen the odd goody now and then like a couple two tone Daytona, yachtmaster platinum, some steel sports every now and again, but these units don't last long in the case and one needs to be able to go into the stores almost daily because those pieces fly out the door... the positive thing being we have at least 6 to 7 Authorized Dealers in a couple mile circle.

Datejust41s are allocated pieces correct?

I have purchased in the past from Wynn, Vegas and I would agree with you that you wont find salespeople whom are overeager to make sales. But I actually prefer that to someone pressuring you to purchase.

Agreed, I stop in there at least twice a year when I stay at the Wynn and they have 0 inventory except DJ's with diamond dials. They always tell me that they get a few shipments a year of each SS model and that it is first come first serve (which is not true). When I stop in the following days they tell me how they got a shipment in of hard to find models earlier that morning and people snatched them up. It is like an elitist game they like to play. Never friendly and always cocky. I go in there every time like ...this time will be different. lol.

Where is the Imperial Palace? The only one I know of was the one that was kind of around Flamingo... Is there a new one?

How times have changed! In February of 2017 I walked into Tournea @ Caesars very drunk and walked out with a new sub date. Drank complimentary Redbreast 12 year old whiskey while they fit the watch. Great experience! I recall they even had a Hulk available at the time but I opted for black.

Hmmm, this is the first I’ve heard of this! Contact Rolex HQ at once- all ADs are supposed to roll out the red carpet and offer champagne AND you were wearing a Submariner! Somebody’s gettin fired!

Vegas ADs

I bought my 116710 12.5 years ago from Wynn Rolex. Back then Wynn hotel actually owned all the stores, Rolex included. Now Watches of Switzerland owns the boutique, and the service is just not the same. I agree, the Crystal's Rolex is by far the best experience in Vegas. Plus, it is the same owner as Belluso in Palazzo and Horologio in Venetian, so there are deals to be made if you were buying from multiple brands.
