Typical discount on day-date 40?

I am looking for the white gold blue dial and wondering what is the typical discount I can ask for for precious metal piece?

Thank you!

There is no such thing as typical discount. Each store is it's own entity. Somewhere between full retail price and the price charged by re-sellers online is what you can shoot for.

Used to be in the 25% range here. Now it’s much closer to MRSP (depending on how much the AD wants the sale)

I dont think there is a typical discount on a DD40. It depends on your AD and your history. I have a good reason to believe if one is ordered and paid in full, cash out front 25% is a real number.

25% is going to be pretty hard to find unless you bundle and/or find a small market AD (which are diminishing). There was a time...but now I suspect 10-15 is more likely. Look at grey markets and that will tell you what to pretty much expect.

10% if you also want SS sport watches at MSRP, if not 15% prepaid.

MSRP if your in a major metropolitan area (e.g., Chicago, SF, LA)...for that model, maybe 5% elsewhere. The WG DD Blue Dial is hot right now.

This is true. At my AD in Toronto they offer no discount at all on any watch. Be prepared to pay full retail if you go this route. That being said consider going grey.

ADs will say no discount. Even on the ugly fully iced out pearlmaster that has a centimeter of dust on it. Stupid imo.

Getting a daydate for them is easy. Some ADs will claim it is hard. It's a laughable situation we are in. Check the grey prices and you can still find champagne dials for 20% off. Rest are floating around 10-15% off.

Yes...DD used to be 25% as standard. You'd normally be asking for 29% off to stay competitive on the grey market.
