Grail for some and testing ground for files and sandpaper for others who might see fit a heavy-duty DIY polish... Lol...

This looks like a special version of the 5101 with the engraving on the case.

The regular release 5101's had regular finishing on the case. Back when they were released, they were listed at $300k+. Interestingly I think the 5101P was produced in greater numbers than the other metals.

The watch is very long in length vertically and doesn't always sit well on the wrist. I had a chance to try on a few different metals many years ago. Patek tourbillion is still a rare watch in sighting.

Khalid's collection is impressive to say the least! I believe this one is a unique piece with the engraving!

To me a Tourbillon has to be on the dial side - that’s the beauty of it! Though very interesting to see that on the case back.

Patek may be one of few, if not the only, watch manufacturer to have the tourbillion hidden from the dial. They prefer more subtlety

Whilst I love the discrete implementation and philosophy of ultimate discretion, unfortunately they claim it is to avoid degradation due to UV effects which has got to be complete BS.

Seems like they forgot the UV effect on oil for the latest 5303R piece?

Yes indeed and IMHO that release is the complete antithesis of what Patek stands for.
