Hi
Can anyone shed some light on my Submariner dial
Instead of Swiss made marked at six it just has Swiss?

Rolex at some point had SWISS only faces used for service dial replacements. I know my 16750 GMT has a SWISS only. It's 30 years old and if I remember it was changed to SWISS only on a service years ago. I am sure someone on here knows the specifics.

ROLEX is right. It's may be a service dial but that does not make it non original to ROLEX. I think it was when the T<25 was changed out. Can you take a PIC? I am guessing it's an older 5 digit SUB, Yes?

Sounds like approx. 1999 or an A serial no. if it's an original watch /dial.

The "Swiss" only dial was transitional dial on Submariner,GMT, and Explorer II produced between '98-'99. Should be able to find more information regarding the subject by searching. The transitional dial was produced as the company moved the dial indicators from Tritium to Luminova, to Super Luminova. If your watch was produced during that time then it may have the original dial, and if it was serviced at that time it may have a service dial. I believe late U to A series serial numbers were produced with "swiss" only dials.

All 1999s production year were swiss only AFAIK, not saying they (swiss) were all A serials but I believe all A serials were.
