Exclusive Presentation of Basel 2019 Rolex & Tudor in Dublin, Ireland

I was fortunate to attend an exclusive presentation event of the Basel 2019 pieces by Rolex Ireland’s main AD Weir & Sons.

I tried the Blue dial GMT and the Meteorite. I must say the Meteorite disk is absolutely amazing and eye catching.

It was a lovely event but only the Basel 2019 watches were on display. The waiting list for the Meteorite dial is 2 to 3 years.

I expressed my interest in the Blue Skydweller so let’s see what happens.

I was also there with my wife!

It was a lovely setting. The WG BLRO impressed me a lot more than the BLNR on the jubilee. I will stick with my oyster bracelet BLNR.

That’s lovely. I think you were just standing beside me and my colleague when
we were looking at the blro. I noticed your oyster BLNR ! I was wearing my LVc

Absolutely. Ireland is an awesome country with one of the most friendliest people in the world. The weather is the only part that I don’t enjoy mostly ;)

Yes it was lovely to try out the new releases.

Wow! Great looking pieces, OP, first time seeing all GMT in Weir and Sons.

Good to know that there are a few TRF members in Dublin :)

Nice! Thanks for sharing. The blue dial in the photos looks great.

PS - Ireland is next on my list to take the family. I have been all over Europe but have never been to Ireland and what makes it worse is my Grandmother was born in County Clare.

Not sure I like the blue dial but it's cool that you got to experience that event!

Aren't watches predominantly set to that?

That WG blue dial GMT is really nice! Can you imagine if the blue dial came standard with the SS BLRO? 10 year waiting list?

I think the SS BLRO should have had a variation in the dial to further differentiate it from the BLNR. Like an off white dial.

Very good, that could well have been us! Love the Sub LV.

Did you take one of the gift bags? There was a Rolex hat and the latest Rolex and Tudor hardback catalogues within.

I was initially put off by the meteorite dial. Some of the early Basel pictures made it look hard to read, but I’m liking it more and more.
Looks like a fun event, OP! Hopefully your contact sends you a bag!

Nice pics!

The blue WG GMT looks like a MK1 bezel insert...maybe it's the lighting?
