Need advice for a dress watch....

All I have are Rolex sports model that I feel bulky for daily under a dress shirt use, I am looking for a dress watch possibly gold with strap under 10k (I don’t mind pre owned), any suggestions will be appreciated.

In that category I like the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso or Master lines. Very elegant and well made.

Saxon would be great. Can you source one under 10?

You may have to buy vintage if you want solid gold for $10k. Maybe a modern JLC, Blancpain or Girard Perregaux can be had in your price range.

IWC Portofino is awesome. Check out the cool engraving on the case back. I also like the Blancpain Villeret.

I have a Reverso and a Cartier Santos. Both are amazing. I would say the Reverso is the dressier piece and the ability to flip the thing over provides endless amusement and wonder. So I would probably recommend that.

Though with your budget, some nice vintage Patek Calatrava pieces are available too....

I'll go against the grain here and recommend an H. Moser. Not that the other suggestions are bad, but Moser offers a size more like your used to with a clean dress look. Their rose gold is not very rosy, so it can pair with yellow or rose gold cufflinks.

the guy who suggested H Moser & Cie is not wrong. wonderful watches.

i’d also suggest a vintage DD, which can usually be found for about $10k.

You can. Collectors Time bought out another store's stock. They are on the forum and are a pleasure to work with.

Lange Saxonia or Saxonia thin in PM. Vacheron Fiftysix in SS is also nice.

1803

Vintage 1803, mine has a wedgewood blue piepan dial, silver grey day date wheels, blue lizard strap with solid gold buckle. Similar setup can be bought for well under 10k.

Lange Saxonia is a great choice in this price range. Vacheron FiftySix looks way better in person than in pictures. But I don’t think the time and date model is a Geneva Seal movement which is disappointing.

I don't think anyone is touching his prices right now. The market for dress watches is already a bit soft, but with him, exchange rates and his physical market are working in your favor. On the flip side, his supply is extremely limited. It appears that he has two or three examples left. There were many more available just a few weeks ago.
