Which one: 5524g, 5230g, or 5146g

I am still new to Patek Philippe, and wanted to ask you all well-versed Patek collectors for some advice.
My first Patek was a 5671/1a, and am now considering my next addition.

Which would you choose as your second, a piece that is not about the hype but more about being able to appreciate it in the collection for a long time.
A) 5524g
B) 5230g
C) 5146g

I would also appreciate your advice based on how it fits the rest of my collection. Below are some images for reference.

Many thanks in advance!

I'd suggest the 5205R as an alternative, with either black or white dial (I'm partial to the white, which I own). The G with blue dial is also nice, but you already have a lot of white metal, so R may add some variety (as well as timeless elegance).

Either way, have fun making a decision, in the end it's your watch so give it some thoughtful deliberation and get what you think you'll like both now and into the future. Cheers.

I think the 5524G adds something new to the collection, but if you wear dress watches more regularly then the 5230G or 5146G maybe a better choice. I have a 5146G with the grey dial and think it's a lovely watch. I generally don't like world timers as I find the dials too busy.

I love the 5524 and almost bought it but it was just too big for my puny wrist. So 5524 gets my vote.

I really do like the 5205R! I'll have a look at it, although, it seems the price on these are somewhat higher than the G variant...
And thanks, I will definitely give it some thoughtful deliberation.

I do tend to wear dress watches (especially my 1815) to the office Mon-Fri, but am able to switch to more sportier pieces as well. Do you think the 5524G is difficult to pull of with in a formal setting, even with a more dressier strap?

Thanks for the advice. Did you part ways with it? If so, what was the reason??

Thank you! I tried the 5524 on, and it was a manageable size.

I found the pushers protrudes just a tad too much aesthetically which always irritated me. However it sat perfectly on the wrist, had great lime, a useful complication and perfect legibility....oh I also needed the money!!!

Which one: 5524g, 5230g, or 5146g

I had 5146G (and P) and I also had 5524G.
Obviously I like those watches, but 5524G is so much fun. World timers are more like an illusion to me , They are just an approximation, more like a romantic idea. Can’t deny that worldtimers have lots of Patek DNA on it.

I also owned 5205 also, a little more updated version of an annual calendar but not as versatile and functional as the 5146. I really like the subdials on a calendar watch, is so more patek and the power reserve is a great add, plus 5146 has lumen. I think the best thing that 5205 has going for it is it’s that has a more modern look with those windows instead of subdials that surprisingly enough I was able to read faster than the windows. But if you don’t like the retro look of the 5146, none of its advantages will make up for that.

My vote is 5524G

Cheers

5524G looks great in your grouping. The others I would pass on for sure. They just sit in display cases

Not at all, you can easily wear it with a suit. The strap might be a bit light for formal settings, but that's easily changed. The 5524G is closer to a dress watch than a sports watch.

I see, the pushers seem nice aesthetically, but that may be a different story once you own it.
I truly appreciate your input as a past owner!!

Just curious, what makes the 5524 so much better (in this particular case) than the other two?

Thank you for your very comprehensive advice! I am actually a fan of your posts (especially the development of your wonderful collection) and am happy to receive your insight.

Regarding the two ACs, I like the retro look, and also appreciate the nice lumen, this am leaning towards the 5146 over the 5205. I am also fond of the sundials, which give it a charming look.

The 5524 is an awesome watch! I really like its versatility, and also the fact that it has its own unique character.
My only concern with the watch is, whether or not the size is a tad too big to make the watch a future classic, in other words, whether or not it would be “out of date” 20-30 years from now.

In any case, thank you for the suggestion!
Cheers!

Was just at a watch store to try on the 5524g!
I’m thinking the large case size is not an issue here, but what do you think?!

I think that looks great! Definitely not too big, I honestly wish it was a tad bigger!

5524 is my vote. Been eyeing one myself, leaning more towards the 5524r personally however.
