FYI, the seller IBSOBER is a member of this forum as well as maintains an Ebay account. You can research his username. I would ask for more information related to this watch, i.e. band/end pieces reference number and better pictures...

Z-sub,
Watch looks legit to me. Just a FYI, lugs are very overpolished. As TTG said, Ibsober may stop by and comment on it. |

Ibsober had a couple of issues in the past but has always been willing to rectify any problems. He is a good forum member here and at that forum as well.

Some of these 168000 had a paint problem (spider web effect) and the dials were swapped out at service. see here --> http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?p=527370 |

thanks Pav. that's what i thought. I wasn't questioning the authenticity of the piece but just the all originality as described in the ad.

Pav and Terry..I appreciate your support. In my opinion the dial is original, but as we know I have been wrong in the past. In the listing I made sure to list the endlink numbers and the number on the bracelet. The bracelet is correct for this model watch and from the wear and polishing I suspect this is the original bracelet. This is by no means a vintage piece...the asking price is a good $1000 less than the exact same watches. It is a nice straight watch, it was serviced by my Rolex Guy, he does not pressure test, just cleans and fixes. My history with the watch is it came through a trade a year or so ago and until oil goes back up I'm broke, so there it sits on the action block.

All facts considered, to include the replacement dial, it is not a bad price on the watch though.
