What is for sale here

Already discontinued Seiko Professional ISO Diver SKX009 Pepsi bought it brand new, and got it better with the following upgrades. Remember, even though the new Seiko 5 line is out with the 4R hacking / manual winding movement, it is not ISO Diver rated, it does not have a screw down crown, and it does not have a lumed bezel !

1. Brand new Seiko 4R movement that hacks and manual winds. Not SII NH35, but Seiko. See picture below. It has been regulated and keeps awesome time.
2. Brand new Seiko signed “S” crown like used in the upper 6R series line.
3. Brand new Seiko Diver white hands. I had to buy a whole watch to get these hands. I do not have the original hands, I put them into the other watch and gifted it to a friend (Other watch cost me $250). Yes, I do gift friends watches that are worth something ! ;-)
4. Two bezel inserts and bezels: The original brand new Pepsi, and a real vintage piece I bought for $50, it came with bezel and bezel insert from an old SKX watch.

Watch comes with its original Jubilee bracelet with all links, which is lovely as a lovely rattley bracelet. It also comes with a fantastic Barton orange strap with two lengths for bigger wrists. Box and papers as in the pictures. Nato straps NOT included in the sale.

Note: Water resistance IS NOT compromised as I did not mod the crystal or the back case. The crown is original Seiko and has the proper seals. Please see picture of water resistance test in a Bergeon Wet Testing tool for your perusal.


Why I am selling it?

Because I have to, not because I want. Personal financial and family reasons, otherwise I will keep it. I am also selling other watches too, same reasons. This watch is fantastic, perfect in my eyes ! Please read my feedback if you do not know me and you will see that I always describe my watches to the best of my abilities, and always wants the new owner to be happy.


Description and condition

The pictures are part of the description, please look at them carefully and ask your questions. Movement is running strong and keeping outstanding time. Watch has been pressure tested in a Bergeon wet testing tool. There are some swirls and faint marks in the mid case, nothing big but just disclosing all my eyes can see. TZ 91% conservative for this used but absolutely not abused watch.

$299 OBRO. I think this watch is very competitively priced. I have seen SKX009’s go for $200 and sometimes more. So, for say $99 you are getting an upgraded movement, an upgraded crown, white hands, and one extra vintage bezel; with a regulated movement, and pressure tested. I can tell you in parts alone, that is way more than $99 bucks.
