Spoke with my local AD this morning.....

Waiting for a BLNR or BLRO.... First of all they are very nice there and always treat me with respect even tho I have not purchased there previously ... He says they get one a month and they have a list of about 570 waiting.... so I'll let you all know when I get the call in mid 2066! :)

I bet many of those 570 will bail out. You may get it in 2026.

I would have asked to see the list. That sounds impressive.

My AD ... 200 year waiting list.

E-mail response a month later on BLRO availability.
"Hey, like I mentioned last time, these are for our best customers."

E-mail response 2 months later when I said my wife was interested in a YG DD.
"Mr. Lococco! Wow, it's great to hear from you. How have you been? Really, really nice to hear from you. We are always here to help. Please stop by the store. It would be great to catch up. Say hello to Mrs. Lococco for me. See you soon!"

570 and one a month is code for you’re not getting one. At least they’re polite.

The SA I spoke to in my AD on Saturday stated, 3-5 years for a BLRO and a BLNR, 2-3 years for a TT CHNR.

Now the SA was new to the store my usual SA was on their day off so this is probably the standard store spiel to customers.

I curiously asked my AD about their lists, and she told me they have about 300 people (her best guess), but that was for all of their lists combined.

If I heard 570 people waiting for one watch I would have burst into laughter.

So there is a chance that is what he was referring to...... He didn't explicity say "570 waiting for a GMT..." but he did say they have a list of 570....

If they were readily available ...

1) Who would want them ?
2) What would it be worth ?

The lure of a nice design, thats worth more than MRSP and thats very difficult to obtain .

Irresistible.

I feel like if they were readily available the value would be very similar to most luxury items... Buying them pre-owned would come with a discount, and value would slowly increase over time in relation to how well the watch is maintained, and based on production numbers... Look at high end guitars as an example.

Is this the AD in Roseville? I’ve never been, but seems good idea for me to avoid.

You can’t make this stuff up!

The other day I passed by my AD that I’ve purchased a few watches from. I tried on a Platinum Ice Blue DD, and he mentioned how great it looks and yada yada. I asked him if I could get a Daytona if I purchased this and his response was, “I can try but I can’t make any promises”

I stopped by that AD before. Waste of time, but they are nice. Had more fun at the Omega Boutique.

San Jose would seem to me to be a tough market with all that tech money. I would think there’s lots of whales and vips there. But I guess that’s the Bay Area in general.

yeah no kidding. I make enough to get by as a CPA but there's no way I can compete with some of the high rollers here. The guy I work with at my AD said in the few month's he's been at the store he had a VIP come in and spend over 500k on watches.

A Tudor AD salesman told me his waitlist for the Tudor Black Bay GMT is 50 names long.

I lol'ed

I don't doubt the list is long, but I question whether it's 570 names long. They likely would have stopped taking names before it reached 100.

That VIP he's referring to that spent $500k on watches... Just replace VIP with Grey Dealer. Now it will all make sense.
