I check the time, just to look at it...
The band appears to have the "o" on the crown. The photo is not the greatest. Comments?!
mgspann( 17) For Sale: Rolex Submariner Date Stainless ca. 1997, model 16610, Oyster bracelet with flip-lock, rotating unidirectional diver bezel, black dial, automatic Chronometer, date, screw-down crown, sapphire crystal. Facts about this watch: I purchased this watch preowned in January 2000 and have worn it everyday since. It does have normal wear for a pre-owned watch. It is in perfect mechanical condition and had routine service done at Rolex in Dallas in 2005. This is how I know for sure it is a genuine Rolex. It keeps great time. You will get all the boxes and brocures, and the certificate of service from Rolex. Rules for this auction: 1. I WILL NOT SHIP INTERNATIONALLY (U.S. only) 2. Bidders with zero feedback need not bid 3. Paypal only 4. Payment within 24 hours of auction end 5. I will ship this watch immediately upon receipt of payment 6. This watch will ship overnight Fedex or UPS, with full-insurance 7. Buyer pays for shipping and insurance, and I'm not sure the ebay estimate will be exactly correct. I am really dissappointed to sell this watch as I intended to keep it a lifetime. I check the time just to look at it, hopefully you'll appreciate it as much as I do. http://cgi.ebay.com/Rolex-Submariner...1%7C240%3A1318 |

...mmmmmmm...
...Norman, I believe the band to be genuine, and the watch.
...NO counterfeiter has ever gotten the thumbnail recess correct. THIS ONE IS CORRECT. ...however, I do question the box set?? ...notice the "GOLD" colored logo on the inner box-should be embossed and no gold?? ...anyone else?? Stan. |

The watch appears genuine. I agree with Stanley on his band observations. But, the box, I've never seen a box like that unless it is a European box. The pillow looks a little like the USA boxes, but they did not have cut-out in the two corners like the pillow depicted with this box.
