Incoming DD

A Tudor Prince Date+Day, ref 76200, to be exact. Sorry to disappoint

I've been eyeing this watch for a few months, ever since I came across Adam's wonderful review he wrote a couple of years ago (see here for his thread: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=525591).

For anyone on the fence about this watch, absolutely take the plunge. It's a phenomenal value, and is basically like buying a NOS DJ36 from the 1960's (right down to the lug holes). It's 36mm, comes with the standard Tudor beefed up ETA movement (which is keeping great time so far), and is still WR to 100m. It weighs exactly 93g with the way I have it linked, so it's hard to even notice on the wrist at all. I absolutely love it, even more than I was expecting to -- heck of a watch for the money.

Apparently this exact setup (along with the 76214, which has a fluted bezel) is not in Tudor USA's catalog, although there are similar watches in the Glamour line. This particular watch is only sold new in Asian markets, primarily Hong Kong, and I was fortunate to find a seller who bought one and returned home to the States not long ago. I actually got to peel stickers again, that was a welcome change

Enough words, let's see a picture

That’s awesome, I’ve seen a couple online and they look great, specifically for the extra complication and the price.

I’ll check out Adams review after work

Congrats and thanks for sharing something different!

Tudor makes DD? I didn't saw it when I met my GMT at the Rolex Boutique!
Beautiful.

This watch is flat-out captivating! I really wish you had not said it is like buying a NOS DJ36 from the 60's, now I am obsessed!

The easiest way is if you live in or travel to Hong Kong, apparently they're plentiful there. If not, you can check ebay, Reddit, or other watch websites. The reference number is 76200 if you're searching.

Thank you sir. In the link I posted to Adam's great review, he actually lays the 76200 (a silver dial, but you get the idea) next to his DJ36 from 1966, along with a 114270 for good measure to compare them all. It's uncanny how much this Tudor looks like a 4-digit DJ. The lug holes are really the icing on the cake for me.

Yes sir. This is not my picture, but is taken from someone else's listing. The clasp is very, very similar to a Rolex 78360 clasp.

Sweet! I've been thinking of looking at one of these off and on for awhile. I have two Tudor ADs close to me and had to miss an invite showing last week, I need a visit. The US version has a nice stepped bezel as well. Thanks for enabling. haha, Enjoy that Beauty!!..

How can someone in the US go about acquiring one of these in confidence? There's a listing for one on Chrono24 but it doesn't look legit to me.
