All Red Bezel Ceramic GMT 126710

Was setting up an new copier and scanner at work yesterday and rather than scan a piece of paper to check the scan to file feature I figured I'd put my GMT on the glass.

Look at the result. All red bezel, obviously something to do with the UV light from the scanner.

Thought it gave a pretty good result.

All Red Bezel Ceramic GMT 126710

Interesting!!!... Did you buy the Oyster bracelet separately, or do you have a BLNR that you swapped it from?... I’d be curious to see if a BLNR looks like a Coke when scanned or if the different shade of blue scans more true to form.

Rolex is moving towards bicolor bezels on its GMTs, hence discontinuing the all black bezel.
The red looks too much like Tudor

Correct this is why I don’t think we’ll ever see another LN gmt again.

Cool

I did read that the way this bezel is manufactured is as all red with the blue added on. Hence the high failure rate blah blah blah

Any substance to this?

He's not trying to source one ... Jay is just showing the way the scanner produced a copy of his watch.

I feel like half the people in this thread believe this is a gmt in w/ all red bezel 126710 is a pepsi...

Interesting results on the scanner.

Rolex paints the red on first obviously then the blue after, funny the scanner didnt pick up the blue. But this is why sometimes the Pepsi will have a purplish hue to it

I have a UV flashlight, so when I flash it at the GMT (pepsi) to quickly charge the lume, I see a completely red bezel.

Light waves "resonate" with colors that bear similar wave frequencies (you can read more about it here).

There is a little "red" in the blue mixture Rolex applies, so that's more or less what you're seeing when you flash a UV light. If you gradually lengthen the distance between the UV light and the watch, you'll notice that the red side of the bezel shines just a bit bolder than the top side, despite both appearing red- and my guess is that's because of a lower concentration of red paint on the blue side.

Cool stuff.

It starts a green color i believe actually then becomes red after going in the kiln for the first round. Next rolex adds a proprietary chem compound to the half that will turn eventually turn blue and bakes again.
