A few pre-owned Subs in MI

Hello all, just wanted to post a "found some" thread. The Jared Vault in Byron Center, MI has a pair of Subs for sale as of yesterday. Both marked $12,800 but have a 20% off discount going for the holidays. All their Rolex items come from Crown and Caliber, as they themselves are not an authorized dealer.

I tried both on, they look like the 5 digit models I believe. They both looked quite polished and the bracelets have alot of stretch when held horizontally. They also felt considerably lighter than my six digit SubC.

I'm not looking to but these but curious if that was a decent price with the discount at this point in time.

Happy Thanksgiving all!

I am no expert, but for this price I would expect the watches to be unpolished and have no (or almost none) stretch.

Though the AD here in town, Juhas & Sullivan, had a few very nice pieces in the display case this afternoon! A full YG Sub, a Black and gold SubC, Sea Dweller, a Steel and YG Daytona, as well as the usual fair of OPs. All brand new and ready for new wrists!

The owner was a very nice gentleman and we were able to chat for a bit and try on a few. That Daytona sure feels nice on the wrist and wears roughly the same size as my SubC. I would totally wear that Steel/YG Daytona, $16,900 plus tax is a tad steep though ;)

Sometimes preowned watches are negotiable. Maybe they would go beyond the 20% discount. But subs are obtainable from an AD. Just need to wait a few months.

These were more beat up than I'd be comfortable with paying on. The new ones at the AD I saw were amazing though!

Thanks for sharing.

But According to C&C's website, they sell pre-owned watches. They do not indicate they are an AD. And Jared does not indicate it is an AD either.

But I am confused, what does being an AD have to do with being able to source or sell pre-owned watches?

I never said that the Jared store was an AD; the sales girl just told me that they get all their Rolex inventory from C&C. They even have a little placard in the case stating that they aren't an AD.

I'm home for the holidays and felt like stopping by the local watch shops and see what they had on display. The AD that I stopped by here in Grand Rapids ha some very nice pieces. The non-ADs just had some pieces that were a little worn out.

Nothing wrong with that at all, especially if you know the crew there too. Some of these larger stores make it less funn to do stuff like that nowadays.

I think that is a very nice watch you got there! I'm guessing Jared just puts them in and hope's they get a random buyer.
