No box or papers. Wait for later edition 16570 or jump on this one?

If it is an excellent watch in your price range, why would you want to look further?
Naturally, there are some who are obsessed with "box and paper".. I imagine them walking around with hats and price tags still hanging down.

If it’s been serviced, and the price is right, enjoy!

It sure for a watch that old, what value the box and papers will have. I would be looking at the condition, price and seller than the papers. It may need a full service and if you get that done at one of the RSC, they will give two year warranty and that paper is worth something.. . moreover, if you don’t plan to sell, the box/papers has even less value.

I wouldn't let no box or papers stop me, lots of non-hardcore watch people see no reason to save them, especially after the warranty has expired.
Boxes and papers can be faked. |

All sounds good. I'm looking at it in an hour or so. Any concerns with tritium over modern lume?

If you're not concerned about the functionality it's just a preference. No right or wrong. I personally would much rather have a tritium dial as I enjoy the creamy tones when it patinas. I also enjoy watching it change over the years. However, if it is a tritium dial, make sure the hands are original or at least consistent with the time period and also tritium. Nothing worse IMO than having fresh clean white lumina service hands with an original creamy tritium dial. |

Also have no issue with modern Luminova dials.. I also need to find a light source to see those in most instances at night.

1991 Polar Explorer
Just had a look. The case had been given a few polishes over time and this put me off. Thanks for the advise though from all.
