Opinion on skydweller

I’m thinking about asking my AD about acquiring the blue dial skydweller. I love the watch only thing I’m worried about is the size. I currently have a 116610LV, 116710BLNR and 116520 Daytona. Does the Skydweller wear a lot larger than the submariner? Could you guys send some wrist shots and tell me what you think about the size and anything you really like and don’t like?

Opinion on skydweller

To me it wears a bit bigger than my Sub, but I have big wrists so I like it.

By the way, the Blue SkyD is the hardest to get SS Rolex from AD...

It looks bigger than it actually is because of the thin bezel.

I have tried one on and it wears comfortably on my skinny wrist. The 42mm Polar is my perfect fit. The Sky Dweller case is thicker but the dial doesn't look like a dinner plate. And it's easily legible.

I can't get a SS Sky Dweller from a UK AD. I can get a TT one locally, subject to a wait. If your AD can produce a blue dial SS model in a relatively short period of time you are lucky indeed.

To my eyes it looks nothing more than a DJ with a circle of numbers in the middle.
Just my opinion you understand.

It's a wonderful watch. My favourite Rolex by some distance.

Your wrist size is relevant.

A SS Sub and a TT/PM SkyD could be a perfect two-watch collection. Period.

Ask your AD to put your name in the queue anyway. Usually it takes so long to get any that you have big time to think about

I have a 7 1/4 wrist and it's a big watch, to me anyway. But it wears very well, and does not completely overpower the wrist. I love it.

Anybody can wear a SkyD because of the way the lugs are shaped. Even more so compared to the flat bottom of a Sub or GMT

Flatter 6.3" wrist, compare to Sub. This is at the very limit for my wrist.

Cant comment on your wrist question but the blue skydweller is without a doubt the best of the variants

This is how it looks on my 6.5 too. Surely the limit but the lugs don’t overhang. It’s worthy of my exception rule, the watch is that good.

I found it too big for my 6.5” wrist.
