Incoming- My first spring drive

Been considering adding a spring drive for some time now then a few days ago this NOS SBGA103 limited edition beauty popped up at a UK AD and so my mind was made up and decided to treat myself to an early birthday present. The dial in natural daylight is just gorgeous.

This was the first commercial spring drive. There were three models with slight variations. I chose the small seconds. Running perfectly. Enjoy your spring drive

Great looking (Grand) Seiko! Fun fact about GS, one guy does ALL of the heat treatment blue-ing of hands by hand. The amount of work and finishing that goes into one watch really makes it a great value for the money. Enjoy!

Wow that's a beaute! Congrats, I've been admiring Grand Seiko more and more as of late. I have to say, the photos on their website don't do them any justice at all. Everytime I see a real world pic, I'm amazed. I would be willing to bet they would have more sales just from higher quality website pics alone. Just a thought.

Disappointed with the AD, get that. But the watch is still the same GS you loved to begin with.
Do not comprehend...

[QUOTE=Ks6pd;10230235]Oh no! What happened if we may ask?

The watch was advertised online by the AD as new. when I took delivery of the watch I only got chance to open the package and check the watch was in there and take a few quick photos which I then posted here on the forum and all looked ok. The next day I actually got time to take a closer look and that’s when I saw that someone (obviously at the AD’s) had for some reason attempted to polish it and what a mess they made. If they had told me in the first place the watch had been polished I’d never even consider buying it. Again I’ll say it was advertised as brand new.

That sucks. Sorry to hear that. If you really love the watch, maybe they'd have been willing to give you a discount for it being pre-owned and not new?
