Hi

My new 2008 Sub TT is 6 months old and was gaining 20-30 sec a day. It started at about 10 sec a day when new then went downhill so to speak.

As the dealer said it would take 4-8 weeks to adjust I couldn't bring myself to part with it until now, at 30 sec my timex was more accurate!

As you can imagine this was not a good first experience with Rolex.

Well I finally handed it in for regulation and the Authorized dealer took four days to turn it around.

Now it is gaining a maximum 1 sec a week!!!! what a difference......

Do you think it will it continue to keep close to this accuracy or does a Rolex's accuracy deteriorate after awhile?

A 30-sec jump in speed for a new watch sounds like it could have become magnetized. This is definitely not normal...new watch or old. Glad you got it regulated. Should be ok now.

I think your watch just needed an adjustment.

My watch gains about 2 seconds a day. doesnt get any better or worse.

Sounds like your watch is running great!

4-8 weeks??? Call your local Rolex Service Center and get a second opinion

I don't know if this is true, but I heard that if you actually walk into an RSC and just need a regulation, they'll do it as you wait (one to two hours).

Toronto RSC will do it in less then 30 minutes

Magnetized. Go to any watch shop and have them demagnetise the watch for you and watch where you place your watch from now on.

How would I have magnatized the watch?

I have never encountered this before
