Hulk going down Bluesy going up
I have noticed this in the UK, is there a trend shift happening I wonder...
Hulk is a beautiful piece no doubt, Bluesy is iconic understated and has been lagging behind the SS prices maybe it is just starting to catch up. Watch-Finder had 17 Bluesy 2 weeks ago. Now just 9. Talk of Rolex to discontinue current 116613lb and update movement might have a part in the upswing. Intresting to watch how this plays out. Or maybe just TT is becoming back into the trend. |

Two Tone is the best of both worlds. Can't understand why it went out of fashion.

True, or maybe it's the Xmas period coming up and TT could be a Cristmas piece for some people

Maybe people are realising that the Hulk is a 6.5k piece with an outdated movement.

Love both and very much on my radar as next watch as I want to introduce a bit of colour into the rotation (and complete the land, sea & air). Would never and can not understand people paying more for the green all steel version but there you go..

I think it is a difficult time of the year to gauge the market. Christmas and a lot of inventory moving around. Come the 15th of January I think we will start to get a feel for where everything is.

116713 GMT TT is making steady price progress as well.
WF only have 2, compared to a shed load of 116710LN and Batmans |

Have a bluesy, on the list for a hulk, which I do think is a quite unique piece.
Nobody can predict what will happen at Basel - the only sure thing is new releases everyone will want but nobody will be able to get |

As above poster said people realising the LV is just a $9k watch. Its not worth nowhere near its current ask for $13-$14k.
Sooooo much better value in the Bluesy and honestly if you hold them right next to each other the LV doesnt come close to the beauty of that sunburst blue. YG Gold and Blue combo works so well and it has since ancient Egypt times. |

I've had both, and can tell you they're both phenomenal watches.
In the end, though, there was just a little too much green for me with the LV-C, so now only the bluesy remains. |

The bluesy was what I originally wanted, and when I thought Rolex, the image of the bluesy popped into my head. It is iconic IMO. That said, after seeing it in person and on my wrist, it was just too much...gold, PCL’s, etc. I went with the LVc and never looked back and it has become my daily driver, goes with anything. It is sort of understated with the all-brushed stainless, and when the sun hits that green sunburst...BAM

I don’t see the bluesy going away. Update to movement? Yeah, sure.
LVc will go away at some point, and when it does, it will climb higher. I don’t say this as investment advice- rather, if you like the hulk and are waiting for it to drop, don’t hold your breath. Compare the 16613 to the 16610LV.... 10 years ago and now. I would not be surprised to see the same happen with the 116610LV versus 116613LB. Both are beautiful pieces and I favor them both. But the hulk will sky rocket the moment it’s discontinued. |

May I ask what source you have showing a downtrend in Hulk prices?

The bluesy is definitely a nice watch but its in its own lane. Probably just marketing strategy for the holiday season.

The Hulk just reached the price point where most buyers became priced out or refused to pay the over inflated prices. Once it hit that 15k mark people just say no. The Bluesy, slowly rising still fits into that affordable price range. just my thoughts.

The Rolex 3135 has been around for almost three decades and is used in multiple references. It's time proven, well researched, easy to service, and plenty of spare parts. I'll take 3135 any day.

Between the two, the TT blue dial wins everyday. The tri-color scheme just works so well. SS, yellow and Blue. The green Sub keeps getting greener and greener as you own it longer. Got tiring to me.

LOL
I bought my very first Hulk for $7k flat full box and papers in MINT almost new condition. It wasnt even that long ago. Its overpriced trust me. I'd feel like an idiot if I paid $13k for a Hulk. Just doesnt feel like a watch worth more than msrp. |

I agree, I have owned a Hulk and it doesnt feel like a 15k watch in the hand, Bluesy on other hand feels more Luxurious with the Gold and extra weight
