Christmas gift watch ideas for 22 month old son?

My 22 month son is obsessed with my watches and I think he’d be thrilled to own one himself. Any dads on here that can share some ideas?

Go buy a cheap one from a department store with his favorite cartoon character on it.

Or a Platinum DD. Your choice.

Edit: Not a father

Cheap Chinese tourbillon or some skeletonized piece. Maybe a used Swatch Body & Soul?

Traditional Ladies Swatch.

He’ll learn analog time and can even swap the battery with you. Let him pick it.

Real talk I bought my son a woman’s tag Heuer watch when he was about 2 and a half and loves it. It’s a 28mm watch. He likes paw patrol watches too so YMMV.

Find me a skeleton watch under 30mm and I’m sold!

I have some laying in my drawer for years that I forgot about!! Not sure if the bracelet band will be comfortable enough for daily. Maybe a rubber swatch for daily and the Tag to go out hah

I'd get him a SkyDweller, then wear it for him until he grows into it.

Wear it. The point of giving your son a watch is one that he remembers you wearing. Having memories in it. Not to get a brand new one when he turns 18. Might as well just take him to a store and hand him cash to pick out what he wants. A watch you buy to pass along has to be worn. If not it’s just a watch. Wear it take pictures so when he is old enough he will remember you wearing it. See the pictures. He will treasure it more for being your watch then just a Rolex.

Put him on the waitlist for a Daytona or Patek 5711. With luck it should be available by the time he graduates med school.

That’s very eye opening—THANK YOU. Makes great sense. He knows he can’t have my watches now which attracts him even more to it. I’m sure he would be thrilled to get the exact watch he saw me wear for 15+ years.

That’s about accurate with the waitlist times the ADs are giving us!

Actually, I might get him a baby tiger instead. Quit work and just play with them all the days.
