Rolex Pearlmaster 39 VS Patek World Time

My dad (70+age) wanna buy a higher class watch, dont tell me to buy the steel submariner, hulk, steel daytona etc. We already have it. This time want an extraordinary watch.

Seeing the rolex pearlmaster 39 white/rose with all diamond, really get its attention, especially with spot light lighting. This watch valued by the number of the diamonds. Its shine like a diamond

While the patek world time 5231J is more art.

These 2 watch have different character. The pearlmaster gets more attention to normalpeople, while the patek is more a cool and calm watch.

note: when buying pearlmaster 39, either white/rose gold will buy preowned for better value.

Which one do u suggest and why?

Well in my honest opinion and this is only my opinion I think the Pearlmaster is more of a Lady's watch and I would not be comfortable in it at all.

The patek with enamel dial is a work of art so it would be Patek that gets my vote.

I prefer the PP in the choice between these two.

This might be a cultural thing or depending on your fathers professional history maybe in music, sports or acting but I really do not see the Pearlmaster being something a 70 yo man would wear.

It is exactly as you say, the Rolex would get more attention from "normal people" whereas the Patek is classy and very few understand the uniqueness of the enamel dial. Maybe an AP for full diamond would be a better option.

So chose whatever fits your fathers lifestyle! Wish you all the best!

Get the rolex for the old man. White gold. He wants an extraordinary watch. That is an extraordinary watch. The Patek is ordinary.

That Rolex is so disgusting, looks like a women’s watch Kim Kardashian would wear. It is just a three hand watch with an offensive number of diamonds. Patek World Time is actual class, that Rolex is awful.

I love Rolex and diamonds, but that Patek was a relief to scroll down to.

Can you throw out any other options? I would vote for neither of them but thats just me. Too many other special watches you could look at besides those.

Rolex makes more interesting diamond pieces for men in my opinion. Spend some time at the boutique or browsing the catalogues.
