Seiko Arctura kinetic repair
New guy here, anyone know where I can purchase a capacitor/charging rotor for my Seiko Arctura Kinetic model SNG077P1. The model code for replacement rotors is 5J32-OAVO
I can probably fit it myself, so looking at getting the unit and not sending it in ... the repair quote I got was crazy. It’s got the dreaded double tick seconds hand. Anyone got the same watch and wants to post a pic and share experience would be great also.. haven’t seen to many of this model around and was attracted to it because of the way the bracelet flows into the case without any sharp edges. |

Another poster tipped me off that kinetic watches can be charged on chargers for electric toothbrushes. Your capacitator may be kaput and this would be in vain, but just a last ditch thought. Personally, I would let Seiko repair it, but I am mechanically limited.

I put a new battery/capacitor in my Seiko kinetic diver last month.
Once you remove the rotor, battery cover and the Mylar cover its not too difficult a job. The battery cover screws are tiny and I had to sharpen and shape a custom screwdriver to do the job. All worked out ok.

Beautiful watch mate! apologies for the late reply ... very disrespectful of me... where did you buy your capacitator? Here in Aus? Assuming there is a endless range, so will have to find one for my particular watch, im a bit hesitant not knowing if im buying the real deal and hoping you would point me in the right direction.
