Is 116613 “blacksy” sub discontinued?
Anyone know the answer to this? I’m referring to the TT black and gold submariner. I still see it on the Rolex website and I’ve heard mixed news as to this model being discontinued. Any info is appreciated...

It's not discontinued. I think Rolex may not even update the Sub this year.
The nickname though needs to be rethought. It's just the TT LN or 116613LN. Bluesy was coined here by JJ Irani and one of the few nicknames that are actually fitting imo. |

Every single one of these nicknames make me cringe, Batman bluesy ugh..
I don’t think that’ll be a model that’ll be discontinued any time soon and I haven’t seen anything to show otherwise personally |

I’m patiently waiting for the comment who turns this into a racism thread.

Well, you're the only one here who brought up race when everyone else offered answers to the question posed. Most seemed to agree the nickname was probably distasteful and unequivocal to Bluesy. So, maybe YOU should stay on topic.

What I should’ve said is that it’s only a matter of time before the “know-best, holier then thou” squad shows up, like you “Off script”.

LOL...I've been there, posted some thoughts about the lack of Sports watches avail at Paris ADs and a few people were all over me about things that had nothing to do with what I meant. Sensitive types i guess...

Did I strike a nerve? Lol, I don't come to internet forums to start controversy in other people's threads while NOT contributing. Good Luck with your efforts at being less holier than thou. I'll keep reading

Oh, boy. Here we go again...just for the sake of hoping to stay on topic:
To my knowledge, this model has not been discontinued. I now challenge the two outlier posters to keep their silence. Bet I lose. Ben |

No, of course not. Well, I for one, really appreciate your highly contributive and elevated commentary. Who knows what TRF would be like without noble people like you to keep this forum serious and on-point. |

While the Sub Date is still offered in TT Black, which I think is the best combination they have ever made, they did seem to drop the basic TT Black GMT.

Original ceramic GMT's only came in black from 2005 when they were introduced, and were all you could get for almost a decade. That, and the bi-color insert color separation is at 0600 and 1800, not am/pm at all.
