Rolex with Outfit

In the midst of saving for my grail watch (36mm YG DD). Was wondering what other thought if you were to wear that with casual clothes, like super casual with athletic shorts, t-shirt, and flip flops?(In young 20s). Once I purchase, I plan to wear to office with suit, but was curious if I could pull off with the outfit I described on the weekends.

Thanks!

I wear my everose DD40 with gym clothes. In my mind it's better to enjoy it as much as possible than to worry about what other people think.

My TT DJ 41 has a champagne dial, so while not solid YG, it’s still a reasonable “gold presence” and I wear it everywhere. Gold goes with everything.

The key is wearing it like it is no big deal. Which of course it's not. It's just a watch.

Only you know if you have to personality for this. Best of luck.

Actually I like how trends has been changing from a standardized protocols to reversing things up and down. Today I see people in tux wearing smartwatch and people in tshirts and flip flops wearing yellow, white or pink gold watches. It’s like they do the opposite to the kors and you know what, it works. I like it.
One of my clients, 30 years old jewelry is always sporting a gold dd president no matter what. It looks amazing on him even though one would think this watch is more for seniors.

Haha. I am not trying to show off with this watch, but I am buying this for the sake of liking the watch for myself.

If I could ever afford my day date I’d be wearing it all the time with everything. I wear my 16570 with a tux so you can wear a DD with casual clothes for sure. Most watches Rolex make will fit isn’t most situations maybe with the exception of the Cellini line.

Anything goes today But! , I am reluctant to wear YG with short sleeves if I am out and about in the City. It's a magnet and the wrong people may just decide to try and take it. On those days i go with WG

Ummmmm, Subs were designed to be worn with swimsuits. So technically, you are dressing up the Sub.

I normally wear a seiko diver for the kind of outfit you described but it won’t look silly.. however I have been known to change my watch three times a day

It's a watch, pretty much a sports watch. It can be worn with anything.

Look at the royal oak. Stainless steel or all gold with a simple date function. 50m water resistance and delicate as a twig. Classified as a Sport watch by AP.

The Patek nautilus. Stainless or gold, also delicate, listed as Patek's sport watch.

Day Date/Datejust/OP, stainless or gold, 100m water resistance (same as ExpII, GMT), same oyster case as the professional models,. Note they are classified as classics, and NONE of the Rolex models are classified as a sport watch (subs etc are professional models). It was an OP that summited Everest. It was a DJ that was worn when the sound barrier was first passed. You can beat up an OP, DJ or DD just as much as any sub and it takes it fine, unlike a dress watch. These models gave rise to the modern subs, GMTs etc. Rolex is a sport watch brand, period - just depends on whether you want to call them "Classic" sport watches, or "professional" sport watches IMO.

No one cares what watch you are wearing.. Seriously...

I wore a DJ on a NATO strap today with a hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and sneakers.. The NATO even had matte buckles instead of polish like the watch.. Oh the horror.

Repeat after me: It is my watch and I will wear it however I want to.

A watch that I am really starting to like is the Rose Gold Day Date with the Olive Dial. I would rock that in a t shirt, shorts, and flip flops without a care in the world.

We all wear our watches for fashion, some like to admit it, some don’t, maybe some are more conscious of it than others. The fact is you’re not ripping up thousands of pounds because “no one” cares what you wear and you’re lying to yourself if you think otherwise. Would you wear a pair of trainers with a suit? Or a pair of loafers with a tracksuit? Probably not because you care what people think.
