Patek 5124G - Blue dial or Salmon dial? Pics

I’ve decided to buy a Patek 5124G and the white gold variant of the 5124 comes in both salmon or blue dial. I am undecided and not sure what to get. The blue dial is slightly more attractive to me, but I’m hesitant to buy it as it has a very similar appearance color scheme wise to the 5327G blue dial that I eventually plan to buy.

Blue or Salmon?

Blue:

Salmon:

5327G I plan to buy...afraid the 5124G blue dial won’t offer enough color diversity in my collection with the 5327G as well that has the same color case and same dial color as the blue 5124G:

Patek 5124G - Blue dial or Salmon dial? Pics

I think salmon - it is unique - just bit something you see much of.

The blue is gorgeous - but lots of blue dials out there.

Salmon! Because I chose it :-)

In a more serious note: I dislike the white chapter ring on the blue dial version. Plus the copper dial has the perfect color (unlike other “salmon” dial watches).

Prefer the salmon dial really like the black numbers and hands.

perhaps not as versatile as the blue?

Not crazy about the white border on blue dial.

Another vote for the salmon dial. I saw it in metal and it looks amazing

I’m a sucker for a blue dial. But the salmon is so much sharper looking for some reason. Maybe the rectangular shape has something to do with it. The salmon just looks very classic. And those Breguet numbers are the shizzle.

I learned Patek calls the salmon dial “golden opal opaline “

Tough. While blue is currently in vogue, salmon is coming on strong and I think of those two dials it is easier to read the time on the salmon dial. So: salmon.

Tons of blue dialed watches out there...lot of options to find a great piece with a blue dial. Salmon or pink is just more unique.

Patek 5124G - Blue dial or Salmon dial? Pics

These opinions are really helpful. Also what’s helpful is I found a 5124G salmon dial for only $14k!

Blue reminds me too much of a reverso.

Another vote for Salmon here although both are lovely. There is no wrong answer here.
I just think it's more classic looking and will make a nice pair with the other one you plan to buy.

Beautiful watches! I think the blue looks more "modern," and the salmon more vintage. I think I prefer the salmon, . . . until I look at the blue again . . . .

I think the blue looks a bit more special to me. It is more modern and the sunburst blue dial will keep things interesting. I have seen it in the flesh and it is superb. You might get bored of the other one.

Agreed, and that reverso might actually look better than the PP blue!

I love 5124 Salmon. Blue nice but Salmon truly special.
