Game plan for 2020...first incoming
I have been eyeing this piece for some time.
It’s a controversial piece to some and debated many times since it’s introduction along with whether the G or R variants would be a better fit. With the help of a few fellow members (you know whom you are, your opinions were greatly appreciated) and having the opportunity to revisit the G in the flesh, this was a no brainer for me given my current collection. Pics kinda crappy given the lighting, I’ll take some better ones later. Pictures don’t do the R justice compared to looking and wearing it in the flesh. Love the sunburst dial, under darker lighting, the dial looks black but under light you see the brown tones shimmering. The R is warmer and richer look/feel than the G (don’t get me wrong the G is a fantastic piece with its own attributes). Loving the size, perfect for my wrist. My AD also ordered me the charcoal, navy blue calf straps and another but won’t tell me what lol along with an extra buckle which should further change the complexion of this piece. Congrats on it!
What was wait-time on it? Or was it instant? This and the G has been seen on display many places. It has lost its steam |

Looks fantastic...out of curiosity, if I may, what is your wrist size?

I have just noticed the wide part of your minute needle is white and mine is black. Perhaps this is something Patek changed in 2020.

No wait time as they had one come in their December shipment. Quote:
Hmm I don't recall that part on the needle being black, checked out some of the older pics they all seem to be white? |

Great looking timepiece. I think the G looks better than the R with that strap color. I'm considering this piece, along with the FP CB if I manage to let go of 1 or 2 watches from my current collection.

Congrats! It's definitely a piece I'm looking to add in the near future. Wears much smaller than one would think based on the specs.

Thanks, you will love it. I can see how some people say it is too big especially with the pushers but for me, it’s a good size. Good luck, hope to see one on your wrist soon. |
