I’m currently on a list with my AD for a Bluesey as the next addition to my collection. But I’m starting to have second thoughts and I am starting to wonder whether I should change to a James Cameron Deepsea. I’d be interested in the thoughts of others on these two watches.
I already have one TT in my collection.

Here's my take

Rolex has NEVER done a watch like the JC-DS. I don't see many more like this coming. Id say therefore, it is a safe bet value wise.

But we don't buy for value, or at least it shouldn't be our main driver.

For me, the watch is far too big. But some people like that stuff. I know someone who has one and it looks incredible, if you like it.

The bluesy is just a very nice watch (I own one) with one of the best dials Rolex does. If you say you have a TT and it happens to be a 36mm DJ, then I would not hesitate to get the sub too. Its a totally different watch and there is room for 2 TT's in your collection.

If you happen to really like the DS and the size is also what you like then I would definitely take the opportunity to get it. I wouldn't but that's just me and my tastes.

Tough one - simple answer for me is the Cameron. The Bluesy has been around for some time. The Cameron is destined to be discontinued at some point.

I'm a big fan of the Bluesy and would take it over the JC for my own collection. That being said, I'd probably lean toward the JC if you have a TT sports watch in the collection already

And for the record, I have a 6.75” flat wrist and it doesn’t wear too big and is very well balanced on the wrist.
Bigger that other Rolexes? Of course but this watch is about extremes.

If your wrist is big enough, I would go for the James Cameron Deepsea which is a pretty unique piece. I am a huge fan of the TT Sub, but realistically you will still be able to buy at RRP in a few years.

As I JC owner my obvious choice is that, I do however want a TT as my next addition and if all goes to plan it will be a TT Seadweller. Not everyone’s cup of tea I know but I think it’s stunning.

Depends what else you have in the collection. Also your wrist size will be a factor.

I love the JCDS it is a chunky beast though I tried one on at an AD.
