AP RO Offshore Chrono Question

Quick question for the group. I apologize if everyone knows this except for me. On the AP Chrono, for the 30 minute sub dial, has anyone else noticed that it slowly creeps forward like a slow sweep hand, as opposed to waiting to the last second and jumping to the next minute (like a Daytona or most other chronos)? I saw this on an Offshore watch recently and I’m trying to figure out if that is standard design. It seems very smooth and purposeful, slowly moving forward throughout the minute it is timing. Thank you for the help. I apologize in advance this is a repeat question. I tried to look exhaustively and could not find information anywhere

You might want to post the question in the AP sub forum

Have a look at this article but it’s due to the ROO having modular chrono movement vs ROCs having integrated chrono movements.

“Also worth noting is that the minute recorder doesn’t have a jumper spring, so the minute hand runs continuously.”
