Stainless steel Black ceramic sub vs Batman on jubilee for daily wearer
I originally thought the black ceramic sub date or no date would be the best daily watch,,,,now the more I see the Batman I feel it is just as nice,,,while black matches everything the blue on the Batman still looks pretty subtle and matches most clothing,,,,,what I like most I think is the jubilee bracelet it shows less wear over time and I feel it looks good on the Batman but not the black sub,,,anyways just my thoughts

Either makes for a great daily wearer, IMO. Both are very versatile pieces.

For me, swimming with a jubilee bracelet doesn't seem right. Something to consider if you do a lot of water sports.

A matter of personal preference and cost. I prefer the Submariner.

IMO the jubilee definitely has a bit more of a bling factor than the brushed Oyster bracelet. The bezel markers on the BLNR are also larger and more noticeable.
I agree with others that both make a great daily wearer, but if low key is what you’re after, my nod goes to the 114060. ![]() |

I will each the same sentiments. Either will work, I’d go with the Sub.

Have both and trying to decide on a daily wearer too. Two things I noticed in regards to actualy swithching between these too frequently.
1. The brushed finish on the sub take more beating IMO than GMT polished links and specialy the clasp. I have my GMT blro for few months only and desk dives are showing clearly on the clasp way more than on the older sub. 2. Glidelock extention on the submariner can be adjusted in smaller increments and give me perfect fit everytime I use it compared to GMT 5mm extention wich can be either slightly tight or slightly loose on my 6.5-7" wrist. other than that I feel like the jubliee braclet melt on my hand easier but it has more shine into it that make it look more dressy than sporty in my eye. |

This was actually quite common in the old days when you still had the choice which bracelet you wanted

Could go either way. Both make a great daily. I like a little color with my watches, so I'd lean towards the BLNR.

I don't think a sub looks right on a jubilee but the Batman does

For regular daily activity both are good. Although if you are going to the beach, fishing or any outdoor activity I would prefer the Sub

Assuming the question is 116610LN vs 126710LN (and not whether a sub would look good on a jubilee).....I would go Sub. I just think it offers greater versatility. I think (personally speaking) i would also find the jubilee too much for the office.

Batman for sure, just more special. The sub is like milk, a staple but doesn’t get me as excited

I’ve owned the sub and now own the BLRO on jubilee...for me I much prefer the gmt. The sub is definitely under the radar but honestly speaking it didn’t really excite me after wearing it for a little while.

Never a big Sub fan, to me the GMT is a more interesting piece.

IMHO the jubilee bracelet adds more “bling” to the watch, far beyond PCLs. If you like that go BLNR, if you like the brushed look go with the sub
Personally, I much prefer the sub

Sub
Sub as a daily wear. Batman in jubilee can’t be beater, it more special festives different special moments.

Definitely BLNR over the sub. The sub is a boring choice. A good watch nonetheless but not very exciting

I gravitate to my Pepsi over my hulk. I love both but just love wearing the pepsi. Batman would be the same

Submariner is more subtle, less flashy, and with sober black and brushed steel, more versatile. I think it’s a more enduring design, underscored by the fact it’s substantially unchanged for over half a century.

I always go back to my subc but I have to say the Pepsi wears much better, jubilee links are perfect and so is the shorter clasp, I thought the BB52 was better to wear but the sub wins the day.
