I’m probay picking up this 1991 Submariner with Serti dial. Before I make any further moves on it, I’d like to get your opinions.

If you scroll down it’s actually a collection of photos, they’re too large for the forum(resizing makes them real bad quality).

The one thing I’m suspicious of is the “screw” at the 5 o’clock seems a bit off?

It seems to me that the OP is searching hard for too good to be true deal which usually results in either a garbage watch or a fake. So many posts lately of is it real or not.

Not really, I usually get shitty deals on stuff.. I know the prices and when something is to good to be true(not that hard with Chrono24). I’m posting a lot because these are watches sold by individuals and I don’t trust any, no matter how genuine it looks to me, unless I get more feedback from more expierenced people here.

I’m aware that I’m posting a lot, if there’s a limit kindly let me know and I’ll abide by it.

Have you ever thought about that some of these too good to be true offers may turn out to be stolen watches?

Horrible pics, but good enough to tell that it's well worn and heavily polished, so it would be a pass for me personally, regardless.

That "screw" is a diamond. Or at least it's supposed to be if it's a factory Serti dial.

The watch and bracelet in the pictures is gen. No high quality fakes of this dial are around. Bracelet and bezel looks worn and overpolished which is a good sign in terms of authenticity. On a fake bracelet the gold plating/wrapping would’ve been rubbed down by now

I have the same dial on my Sub, looks ok to me. Need better pics though. A few close-ups would help.
