YG Day Date - something wrong with this dial?

Hi - is there something wrong with this dial? Shouldn’t the hands be lume? Or are there version that didn’t have lume. This is a 2002-2003 DD36.

It's mother of pearl with diamond markers. Nothing wrong with it.

Lumed hands are only used with lumed dials; neither being lumed in this case is appropriate.

Got it. Thanks! I saw some photos online where there are dials with lumed hands and diamonds. Realized must be after market diamonds. Thanks for the quick response.

No, the dial and hands you've shown above are all original, not aftermarket.

Hands have lume only if the dial also has some lume. Even minimum lume like the arabic Daytona with only 3 spots at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock.

This is my father's watch. He was questioning why his hands didn't have lume so I started researching. Thanks ya'll! I should tell him to take that price tag off the watch winder.

Not always true. Maybe on modern pieces but vintage there were many times where only the hands were lumed with no lume on the dial anywhere.
