Advice on a 1994 16610
Hi,
Thinking about purchasing this 16610, but am a bit unsure on the guarantee paper as I have never seen one like this before. Everything else looks good to me, but I could be wrong. Any advice would be great. It’s on sale for £8,250 https://sonningvintagewatches.com/vi...estment-watch/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Paul Thorpe has this company as a trusted trader so I wouldn’t be concerned at all.

Looks ok to me, its been touched up though. No way a 1994 16610 is sitting around in pristine condition. But to my eye, it the sub to have. I do love the look of vintage subs, but the actual functional improvements ceased with this model. I dont see the ceramic as an upgrade, nor do I see a heavier bracelet as an upgrade-it just gives the "feeling" of being better quality. Some may say adjustments can be made easier, but I have 4 fine tooth adjustments on the bracelet which amounts to 4 quarter links (or 1 full link) play-thats hard to beat. Then of course there is the balanced look of the 16610, which is the real appeal of this model. The new ones are really in your face, where this it a true tool watch and blends in to everything from swim trunks to a suit. Enjoy.

Have to agree and as the warranty is well past the warranty period its now just a bit of paper, watch condition whether any service history would be my priority.
