You need to be more clear.... Rolex does not make a "Coke" model watch.

Rolex did make the GMT model 16760 and 16710 from the early 80's until 2007 that could be outfitted with a black/red colored bezel insert. These are sometimes referred to as a GMT Coke, but it is an informal nickname.

Is this what you are referring to?

Any guide on the 16710 in general is good reference for coke. It's just one of the bezel options for that model and also happens to be my favorite

The Mondani GMT book is pretty good. (All texts are incomplete in one way or another, but...)

Black and Red inserts were first used by Rolex around '83. I think Castro would've worn a blue and red 6542 (NCG) in the 50s/60s...

Thanks for the replies , this all gives me something to aim for and research.

I know I like the black/red insert , I just need to find the model that suits.

Castro's watch was a 6542 with blue/red insert. The early bakelite inserts took on a dark colour in the blue and looks almost black in some lighting. A lot of people confuse those inserts as black/red.

Here's my old review of the Rolex GMT Master II (16710). It could have the information you're after.

Cheers.
