WG Sub owners, please share photos!

After Basel 2009, the super case is starting to grown on me and so is the new shade of smurf blue.

Owners (or other members), please share photos of the WG Sub, thank you!

I don't think you'll get any better than John Holbrook's pictures here:

Thanks for the link, 082013! That was a great review with some great photos. I also learned from it that the crown guards are also wider, not just the lugs. I'm really starting to like that shade of blue!

Is there a full YG Sub with a black ceramic bezel?

That review reveals how different the "blue" can look depending on the conditions under which it's photographed.

Yes, a 116618bk at $27,250 MSRP has a black dial and black ceramic bezel.

Yeah, I agree totally. That blue looks SOOOO much nicer under that type of (more natural) lighting. Under halogen/jewellers' bulbs in shop windows, it does indeed look far too bright blue to the verge of 'nasty' IMO.

Very nice

The blue is growing on me, too. But I'm really glad to see that Rolex is moving away from the stamped clasp. I am greatly disappointed in the clasp on my 16610 and will see about replacing with an Easylink of Glidelock, whichever one fits and works best. Any suggestions?

Not a bad idea, but the glidelock from the DeepSea will be bigger (I believe) than the one the Sub has and will probably look disproportionate - if it even fits. Otherwise, you can wait for the new SS ceramic Sub and find a glidelock that belongs to that, and hope it's not partially polished or you'd have to brush it!
