Won this auction: Rolex GMT II BLNR REAL?

Hi Everyone,

I just won this watch at auction and want your opinion if the watch is real or fake as I'm still not having the complete history of the watch. Upon my receipt I can post more photos or if you have questions for me to investigate further. Seller has no feedback on eBay which it the major concern.

As always thanks for your time!

Let me get this straight - you bought a Rolex on eBay from a seller with zero feedback who can’t tell you much about the watch ?

How did his seller limits allow him to sell a Rolex?

The watch looks fine which means you're *probably* not getting the one in the pictures.

1st plan of action

Yes that's definitely the 1st plan of action but I didn't expect the entire store closings as a result of corona virus potentially impacting business hours/closures as quickly as it did the last week. I live in Silicon Valley and we've had a few cases of in the area so stores are aggressively shutting down and people are working from home. I'll be able to email my contact at the AD (sales rep) and see what that option looks like.

I ended up paying official via eBay, using PayPal, and an AMEX card so I'm hoping that theirs 3 levels of buyer protection in the worst case.

Thanks again everyone as I just want to make sure I have a plan of attack as this is definitely my riskiest purchase thus far. Its
tiejo-58tiejo-58 from eBay so you're exactly right!

This is my worry as well

Exactly my worry as well and on picture #3 there's light scratches on the clasp and picture #5 some light scratches on the band. Nonetheless I've asked the seller to clarify the history especially on polishing as I want to make sure these minor physical wear marks represent the actual watch being sold.

The seller is now listing a Hulk at a similar low price.

I don‘t think that anyone will receive a genuine watch from there.

Agreed zero feedback advertising a brand new watch below market? Red Flags everywhere

I can’t see how the seller will get paid? As such large amounts will automatically get held in PayPal especially from a zero feedback seller, who will have limitations on his account, at best the money is held in PayPal until watch has been delivered? So I think your money will be safe, I bet you don’t get anything from seller though

Pic 2jpg looks like it was sized for a smaller wrist, 9 links. Too late to buy the seller, hopefully you made a score..

These posts always confuse me. OP has been a member here since 2013. Ask these questions before making a purchase.

On another note: ALWAYS buy the seller. Good luck.

Thanks Everyone!

Yes absolutely. I will let you guys know asap about the results of the transaction and authentication either way.

The payment is withheld until I release it via receiving the item so the people chiming in are correct about this. Seller is apparently shipping today overnight so I'm expecting tracking info shortly. If I don't receive that and additional history of the watch then I'll move to cancel the transaction this evening.

Regarding the watch band length I also asked the seller about this and the availability of the additional links. Let's see but general purchase history of the watch, owners, service incl. polishing, general time keep accuracy, etc.

Stay tuned....

What you have got to watch is that he may send empty box etc, but once you signed for it PayPal May release funds to him, as it will show as delivered? Or after 21 days have passed they will release funds

For some reason the eBay scammers love using Anthony's listing photos. When I look at the off trend sales for 116500 on watchcharts they all use timepiece gentleman photos.

The pics were stolen. You need to move fast with PayPal and eBay to get your money secured before that shipment arrives.

Funny! Scratches on the band are the least of the worries.
