Noisy Tudor BB GMT

Hey guys,

I picked up my BB GMT last Friday after an AD friend of mine hooked me up with no waiting. I also own a 126233 and a 116234, as well as previously having the old ETA BB Blue.

I was wondering if this is normal and as it is my first Tudor that has an in-house movement but the 'tick-tocking' of the watch seems very loud. I can hear it tick-tocking from the distance to your wrist you would usually keep to casually check the time.

Any thoughts please let me know, otherwise the watch is perfect overall and in terms of time keeping.

I have a BB58 and haven't noticed it to be excessively loud.

I can sometimes here light rotor noise depending on my wrist position but never at arms length. Normally only if I am resting my head on my watch hand and even then it's not every time or very loud.

Interesting that you mention this- I’ve never heard a peep from my 114060, but the BB GMT when held at a certain distance and angle makes quite a manic ticking sound. It’s a bit mysterious to me, as it comes and goes.

The watch is operating normally- no cause for concern.

Yes it's more like this, certain distances and angles the ticking is noticeable but then goes away every now and again...weird lol

Even using a stethoscope, my ears are not good enough to hear any watch running . . .

This is exactly what mine does also. I don;t worry about it since it's the most accurate watch I own.

OP, I agree with your observation.
It is indeed a bit louder than other watches I've owned, namely the Pelagos, S&G and 116710.
Given the fact I've so far had three movements on mine, sounding the exact same, I can assure you it's normal.

Can I ask why your BB GMT has had 3 movements so far? Did you have the date issue?

Yours might never have a problem. But even if it ever does, Tudor will make it right for you

Rotor maybe under some angle but tic tac of the second hand, no, never.

Yes sorry must be the rotor noise I'm referring to. Of course it wouldn't technically 'tick tock' as it is not a Quartz

The 5652 movement oscillation does sound a bit louder than others though. At least to my ears
