I think my friend got scammed - Daytona, need your opinion

Hi All

My friend ordered a ceramic Daytona and now wants my opinion! Since it was an amazing deal!! I don’t own a Daytona, sharing some pics. Let me know I think it’s a fake, any inputs - will really appreciate it.

I hope I am wrong, here are the pics he sent me.

If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Hope your friend can get his money back.

On first glance, the screw down on the pushers goes too far down, which backs up your theory that it's fake.

Why is it always the friend bought this watch? If advertised as an authentic Rolex, This watch has suspicious written all over it. If marketed as a replica, then it's 100% replica.

Case back is wrong, 24hr Daytona script is rare on early Daytona's without ceramic bezel...typical replica add!

Verify weight of watch, approx. 150 grams for stainless steel and 190 grams for WG, as most replicas are often 'light' due to inferior materials being used!

Does the second hand sweep or tick?

Box and paperwork match?

The crystal, the case shape, the pushers, the subdials, the fonts, etc etc. It may be simpler to type what's correct on that fake.

I'm thinking he knew it was fake all along and just wanted to see if you could tell.

Though I didn't hear a chuckle at the end of the line when I told him that its a 100% bad fake, I might as well be the case. I couldn't believe that someone would fall for this. Maybe he has too much time on his hands nowadays!!

I do hope that your "friend" knows that he was purchasing a fake and didn't actually get scammed.

It was thoughtful that you were provided with so many pictures.

Hi Tools, good evening. I guided him on what to send me, I haven’t owned one and don’t know much about Daytona’s. Here are pics of watches I own, let me know if any of these are fake...let’s not get carried away please...

It doesn't look anything like a real Daytona, unfortunately. I can't find a single detail they got right.
