Shipping Scam Alert
Good reminder about shipping scam alert around people saying they are not receiving the watch. Good quick 2 min video.
TLDR: if you are a private seller, DON'T use PayPal as payment method. Wire / bank transfer only. https://youtu.be/FrieOOOVPIk |

Yep, too many fraudulent buyers out there to ever consider accepting PayPal as a seller, IMO. The "empty box" claim and the "swap in a fake" seem to be the most prevalent buyer scams.
And for those who think that taking a video of you packing/shipping the watch will save you, it typically won't (as reported by scammed sellers who did so). Sellers beware... |

FedEx is still requiring signature for "Adult Signature Required" packages... at least for the time being

To summarize what I've learned on TRF:
1. Sellers - "Don't accept PayPal, insist on a wire transfer" 2. Buyers - "Don't send a wire transfer, always insist on PayPal" |

I've learned a little more. Only deal with reputable sellers. Verify, verify and verify again. I have no issues wiring funds to well known trusted sellers who stand behind their reputations.

And to amend Tony's post above, I would personally avoid PayPal whenever possible, even as a buyer. If you do use them for a purchase, do so via credit card (and not from your PayPal balance and/or bank account transfer). YMMV. |

Yeah, very true :). Lots of people getting scammed via PayPal, my self included a few years ago so I try to limit as much as possible paying with PayPal.

I tried to sell a relatively inexpensive watch recently. My inbox was completely full of scammers. Just exhausting. It was easier for me just to keep it.

Yea...Unfortunately, its difficult nowadays with every scammer trying to work around loopholes etc. I hope some genius would come up with a bulletproof method.
