*** STOLEN *** 1978 Tudor Submariner Blue Snowflake 9411/0
Hey guys, this watch was just "stolen" from me by an email scammer in the South Florida area who essentially stole the identity of another board member whom i've done business with. He had me send the piece with the promise of a wire when the watch arrived. As I thought it was another very trusted community member, my guard was down. Obviously the proper authorities are working on this as well.
1978 Tudor Snowflake 9411/0 Serial # 923468 I was selling this watch out of financial hardship as a result of this crisis, so needless to say any help would be much appreciated! |

That sucks.
Publish the guy's address. Perhaps someone could pay him a "visit". For other sellers - receive funds then post. |

Painful, such a nice watch now on the hands of thieves. That's so bad news.

PM me your Venmo. I hate people who steal. I don't have much but I can help enough so you could use it on food or other necessities.

Thanks so much for all of the replies guys!
This guy already listed the piece on Watchuseek and Craigslist both of which he pulled down... The address he had me ship to was 144 Lakewood Village Circle in Daytona Beach, FL. I highly doubt that was his actual address, probably lives nearby and grabbed the watch from the porch after UPS left it (he provided the label and I didn't realize until after that it was with no signature). Here are two threads (I wish I had seen prior) that are associated with the same perp. https://www.rolexforums.com/showthre...ighlight=butts https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=733354 Apparently this guy's name is Nicholas (Nick) Butts from the South Florida area. Everything leaves a footprint these days so hopefully the Daytona PD and FBI cyber crimes division will get to the bottom of it. They're pursuing it as a grand larceny/wire fraud case. Will certainly post updates! Thanks again, Ken |

I’m sorry to hear that....
So frustrating and unfair people deciding to steal instead of working like honest people. So sad to hear human beings doing this kind of stuff. HOPE THEY ALL GET WHAT THEY DESERVE!!!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Wasn't insured unfortunately though I doubt insurance would cover this type of theft anyway.

If he's posting on this or other forums, the admins might be able to help with an IP trace.
Won't give you an exact location, but may help narrow it down and/or confirm the address given was legit or not. Criminals are often stupid, so you may get lucky. |
