How to get sharper bezel on pre-ceramic sub?

Can someone tell me what the correct term is for the serrated edge of the bezel on a sub?

Also, why is it that some 14060 and 16610 have more pronounced and sharper edges than others?
Is this down to polishing ?

On my 16610 it’s not as prominent and I wanted to know how to get it to stand out more as I like the way it plays with the light.
